Cut stock system?

Default Cut stock system?

When you replace your factory catback do you have to cut the I pipe to get it off? I hear some models have the Y-pipe welded to the stock catback system. Mine has a clamp.

Can I simply take the clamp off and weave it out?

Take off the clamp, then cut that sucker at the over-axle pipe and throw it in the dumpster!

At least that's how I did it.

Nope. Not enough room, unless you drop the axle. Cut the bend right above the axle with a hacksaw or sawzall. Then remove the I-pipe by disconnecting that clamp your talking about.

mine had a clamp where the I and the Y met. Other than that it was welded the rest of the way back. Just took mine off yesterday. Have to make a cut as high up before the axle as you can, and then have to get the right side rear up as high and safely as you can and work the rest of the pipe out with the muffller. TIP... but a pipe cutter. I used a die grinder and it helped but it was hard to work with in the space that you have.

Hacksaw works just fine, that's what I had to use.
