Default Used vs New

For my allotted budget I can afford either, A. New Pacesetter ceramic coated LT's, and Pacesetter ORY. Or B. Used Hooker Ceramic Coated LT's and Hooker Y. I'm curious as to which you guys recommend. I had Pacesetters on my old WS.6 and loved them, but they rubbed on the K member. I heard the new version doesn't have this problem.

My pacesetters fit good. I guess they're the "newer" version.

The ceramic coated hookers may be the way to go. The quality of production is better, and being ceramic coated, they will flow better and should have no rust. They look nice too.

My Hooker ceramic coated LT headers are minimally rusted after 5 years. The hooker y pipe is great. Granted the car hardly ever sees rain or snow.

If I was to do it all again I would have just saved up for stainless steel headers, you may want to look in to that option also.
IMO i'd go with hooker or save up for stainless

ceramic coating isn't going to help it flow any better...ceramic coating is for 2 things: heat barrier to keep underhood heat down and exhaust heat up, and for rust resistance. They make about the same power either way.

IMO I'd go with new Pacesetters personally, lots of people have them and are happy with them, and you get new as opposed to someone elses bangs/scrapes/dents.

The Coated Hooker LT's are junk. I had them and they failed. The coating flaked and the headers still rusted. Plus, looked like a 5 year old welded the primaries. Get the Pacesetter's.

Pacesetters. I bought mine about 6 months ago, slid right on in without any problems.

i bought pacesetters. they are cheap, but the quality isnt that bad. installation was a breeze, took about five hours from the time i put the car on the lift. no clearence issues. i dont know much about the y pipe cuz i went with TDs, but i heard it was crap too. i know tsp sells a y for pacesetters, or you could just have one made.
