it feels good after the install. i didnt drive mine everyday so i really didnt notice much until about 2mos or 1kmiles after. i dont know if the cpu got used to the extra air entering and leaving but it sure felt better after a few miles on it. i actually beat stock f bods, so i know it def worked. i installed an air lid and removed the cats too. loved the sound. once i took off the headers and lid though.....i could feel the difference as soon as i drove my first block without them.

I did pacesetter long tubes and off road y pipe. My 98(a4) ran a best at 14.008 1/4, thats with a lid and dynomouth cat back only. After the install i ran a 13.98 1/4, still not very good. Im hoping after a few miles the cpu learns the extra air entering and leaving, but im not getting my hopes up.

that seems awfully low times for a ls1 f body, a-4's can cut 13.40's easily at like 104. maybe cause its a 98 i don't know, but still......

every time i have been to the track there have been a4 ls1 f bodies running 13.4's every time. my m6 stock ran a 13.6 when i was an inexperienced driver. that seems to be the norm.

Yeah but your going to need a tune to take advantage of it.. your car will run rich as a pig and it will need to be leaned out... then the car pulls like a ape up top..

I went from a 13.91 with just a lid in my A4 then I went to JH LT and ory and cut out and installed a 4000 stall and went 12.66@106 with a tune

4 weeks after LT install I'm running rich at idle (but no gas smell), a little lean cruising (+5 Lterms), and about 900mv on the O2s at WOT.
I agree that tuning will help. It seems LT's are just a little more than the pcm can compensate for.
