Ground Problem
Ground Problem Has anyone had a problem with any of the ground wires going to the engine after a header/cam install? Where on the block are all of the grounds located? About every other time I try to start my car is acts like the battery is dead, even though testing shows it isn't. This is also making the car not want to idle.
There is a ground on the pass side of the block, there is also one on the drivers side behind the altenator. & there are also a couple on the back of the drivers side head. Is it possible that the battery is bad? I know that you said it wasnt dead, but maybe its defective. When its idling whats the volt gauge on?
The problem is intermittent and the battery shows good, that's why I believe it isn't the battery. I did remove the AIR system with the LT install, is it possible that one of the grounds on the drivers side head shares a bolt with the bracket holding the AIR system component back there. I never completely tightened the bolt back because it was such a pain to get to.
