I have one of those. It's a three position switch, high, off and low. If it's on high or low the fans are either on high or low, obviously. If it's off, then the fans operate normally.

I have the SLP switch - in the center position (off) the fans operate at whenever/whatever temps the PCM has them coming on. If you get one make sure you don't leave it on with the car off, they'll still run and drain your battery, even on low setting - don't ask me how I know - I wired LED's to mine so I can tell when they're on.

Thats a good idea with the LED's.
I am always afraid that I am going to do that one day. Everytime I get out of my car I always walk by the hood and listen.

I am really happy with mine, I use it a lot. Its definitely worth getting

It's also pretty cool to have the fan switch when you go to the dyno. After you shut down, just flip the switch to high to cool the engine. Dyno shops usually have a fan, but the combination of the two is even better. I've even used it on a hot summer day working under the car.

A good place to mount the switch is on that little square plastic trim piece next to the TCS switch.

I always check to make sure the switch is in the center position (off) when parking the car. As said, it will drain the battery.
