Default FAST intake install

Motor is out of the car.

What am I missing here?? What holds down the MAP sensor at the back of the manifold??? Looks to me like it will just blow off.

There is no provision on the FAST for the MAP sensor...most folks just glue it in with silicone (mine included)...others have fabricated a hold down bar using one of the rear bolts that holds the three pieces of the manifold together...

Well alright.

One would think that a $750+ intake would have port seals and little **** like the provisions for a sensor. Hope this thing is worth it, it looks like it is.

there is a pic of a hold down out there. i used it. the bolt that goes in the area of the map take out. then get a longer one. long enough to come just above map. then get a metal sleeve that can go around the bolt to hold the plates mentioned next up at the same level as the map. then fab up a plate that can bolt up to that longer bolt and cover up the map itself. then silicone and tighten. thats what i did and it worked perfectly. good luck.

I got the F.A.S.T intake and with the standard MAP it does seem very loose, I left it in place, and too not happy, got no brackets, I may take it out and silicone it, thanks for the idea. I dont think it will blow off, as its in a vacuum.

I'm not to happy that mine is loose either. I'm going to silicone it, and hopefully it will stay in place.

I drilled and tapped the hole that was originally designed for the stock map location for a 1/4 inch hose barb and ran a small hose from the barb to the map sensor and secured the hose with a couple of zip ties on the barbs. The hold down they send with the intake is kinda BS.
