I have a 98 TA also. I just bought an LS6 intake and the LS6 PCV conversion. I'll be doing the install this weekend so we'll see how it goes. If you do decide to go with the LS6 PCV system, don't buy the conversion kit, it's much easier to just buy the parts individually from gmpartsdirect.com. The kit from Thunder Racing is $150. If you order the parts from gmpartdirect.com it will be under $60. You'll need
1). Part Number: 12568002 Engine Block Valley Cover $43.89
2). Part Number: 12568001 Plug $3.75, this is to plug the back of the driver side valve cover where the stock PCV system hooks up
3). About 10 inches of 5/16'' rubber tubing
4). You can reuse your stock PCV valve, or just pick one up from a local parts store, and PCV valve with 5/16'' hookups at both ends will work.

There is a good write-up on LS1Howto.com for both the LS6 intake and PCV conversion.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but if anybody has any tips/hints for these 2 installs they would be much appreciated.

what are the gains of the LS6 PCV install?
Do the 2001+ already come with them, or just the Z06's??

Thanks for the help!

There is a special socket you can get at autozone for about $5. It is called oil pressure socket or something like that. Anyhow that's all you need. Once again I wouldn't do the conversion myself, I'd just get a catch can.

The LS6 block will have it already done, or at least it will be easier. I don't know if the 01-02's will have the ls6 style pcv. The gains of the ls6 PCV is less oil consumption. So if you don't have a problem with it now then there is no use in doing it.
