flowmasters, and hooker Both (long)
classic story.
now I got a 80 series from someone on the board (probably didnt like the little flow ), I heard bad things for the perf, but good things as far as the sound.
I d like to add that I ll get LT and catted Y in the future
my idea is to get a custom made 3inch I-pipe (since I just have replacement muffler), and some nicer tips.
Here's where I need your imput :
What do you think about making the mufflers a modular system.
I want to get the flowmaster clamped to the I pipe and that way I could switch esaly from hooker to Flow ( which from what I understand could come in handy when getting LT)
also weld a 3 cut-out in the Ipipe
what do you think?
I like the idea of being able to change muffler often just for the hell of it and right now my combo of hooker muffler/cut-out doenst do it
thanks for your imput
Check with some local exahaust shops about adding flanges or slip fit connections with band clamps.
To be honest it would probably be more trouble than it's worth but hey why not check it out..
Kevin
hopefully I ll come up with somthing with my firend at the shop,
by the way is the flowmasters 80 series way louder than the hooker aerochamber on a stock car
thanks ?
and i also remember that muffler weighing around 40 pounds easily.
i have the hooker catback now and the muffler on that wieghs even more! but the sound of the hooker is starting to grow on me.
