Need Advice For Installing New Headers
Need Advice For Installing New Headers i just recently bought some edelbrock shorties headers for my 2001 chevy silverado v8, 5.3, any suggestions on what to do and what NOT to do? just let me know, ive never did it before but it seems easy, just put on the gaskets and bolt on, so any suggestions or things not to do let me know, thx

Just 3 minor things I can think of:
disconnect the negative battery terminal before you do anything
smear a little Never-Seize on the header bolts/studs
find out what the torque specs are, and follow 'em...that's if you can fit a torque wrench in there
Steps 2 & 3 above can save you from the nightmare of gauling/stripping a tapped, aluminum hole.
