Put foam under my Weiand intake?
Put foam under my Weiand intake? I've polished the satin intake to go along with the rest of the motor. I remember threads where people got whistling sounds when their car got up to speed. It turned out they were missing the foam under the LS6 intake. I'd hate to take mine off again. The shape under the intake is a lil' different than the LS6 I took off. Does anyone have the Weiand? Any noise problems?

The intake gaskets are paper and I dont want them shifting when I'm putting the manifold on. It weighs about 30 pounds so the job will be hard enough without two blocks of foam underneath.
FYI... it doesn't wistle at speed without the foam. I don't have foam and I've had the car up to about 100 without noise. I have noticed a squeal(pretty bad, sounds like a squealing belt) coming from the pcv. The barbed spud behind the throttlebody that plugs into the pcv hose is smaller than stock and there seems to be more velocity of vacuum and it makes a horrible noise. I plugged that hole on the manifold and the pcv isn't hooked up for the time being till I can get a breather that will fit my strut brace. I plan to do away with the valvecover pcv stuff all together. It'll be one less thing cluttering the engine bay.
