Default TB again, but a totally different question??

I know every one says go for a ported TB.

But I live in the UK, so it's not so cost effective to do it on an exchange basis. Looking at Lingenfelter it would cost me $350 for a complete ported TB. Not sure if this is normal or not (have not found any other prices, for comlete TB's non-exchange). Alternatively a new GM TB will cost $115 so to get it ported while in the US and then sent over would probably cost $200-250+.

My Question is this:

1. If I'm going to end up spending this much money would I just be better off buying a 78mm FAST TB instead?

2. Would the FAST 78mm TB offer anything more than a Ported Stock one?

3. What TB alternatives are there asides from FAST and BBK?

This will be for an LS6 intake, on a bolt on 99 A4

Default Ttt

Anyone?

What gains/losses (if any) are there between a Ported Stock Throttle Body and an after market one like the FAST 78mm TB?

After porting a few of them myself for free, I can't see why anyone would pay any amount of money for a ported TB. It's simple, and you'll see just as good of gains. I say do it yourself.
