just check with the license branch and see if you have emissions and if you then i dont think deleting the EGR and AIR will help b.c thats a emissions thing built into the car.

Depends on your state's emissions testing. I would ditch them.

up to you.

Personally I say keep the EGR and the CATS, on a correct setup the cat's will not loose you any noticable power loss.

And EGR does not affect power, but it does lower combustion chamber temps, which arguable can help to minimise the risk of detonation.

AIR, will be needed for some CAT types but not others, so it depends. It's certainly not causing any harm though.

I got rid of everything. I haven't gotten inspected yet but it shouldn't be a problem as long as I don't have the SES light on. I haven't had anyone look for cats before on any of my cars so I'm not too worried about it. PLUS if you post up in the Texas section someone is always able to help find a friendly inspection shop

That is true what Red said. I took mine to the northside fort worth and those guys speak 4% english.
Plus all that stuff looks crappy, and some of the times you can sell it.

Ditto on getting rid of the stuff. They never looked for it at the inspection station. Not only do you clean up the engine compartment, and make it easier to change spark plugs and stuff, but I was surprised how heavy that AIR pump was, so you drop some weight in the front of the car too.
