Default Custom Make Cutouts?

I have a 99 WS-6 with all my mods listed in my sig. I want to put 2 QTP Electric cutouts right after the headers on my Y-pipe. I have NO problem doing this with the passenger side of the car, but on the drivers side there is an issue.... To compensate for my HORRIBLE ground clearance (Eibach 2 inchers) they had to, when fabricating my TSP Y-pipe, make a few adjustments. From the header collector to the beginning of the "Y" on the driver side, there is slight bends in the pipe. Not to mention the FAT CLAMP that stands in the way of a pre-made cutout.

I was wondering, can exhaust shops custom make cutouts to "work around" these bends or must i put the cutout WAY down there right before where the "Y"s merge? If i had to do that, BOTH cutouts would be pointing out the passenger side. The passenger side one would be fine but the driver side would be cooking the underbody of my car. Not to mention what it would sound like with both cutouts facing the same way. I would like to know because i don't want to order a cutout from a site and find out that it doesn't fit where i want it to. Also, how much do you think it would cost for the labor? Just a rough estimate. Thanks in advance for your help.

One more thing.....

Does this include the motor, THE WIRES, AND THE SWITCH? Or is it just the motor?

Yes...motor, wiring, and switch with fuses.

Although it makes no difference to me, I had the QT and then replaced it with the StreetPro. If I were QT I would reroute the pipe like StreetPro.

There is no comparison how easy the install and placement was for the StreetPro compared to the QT. The QT just doesn't align or fit correctly because of the way the cutout is welded on (IMO).

Pics of my install. Add a turndown. It makes a big difference.

What about the custom made cutouts made by a local shop?

Spend the money you will spend for the additional cutout somewhere else on your car. For example, a $120 linelock or drag radials will get you better et's than an extra cutout. I don't think you will see any additional hp with the extra cutout.

IMO, I wouldn't hack the exhaust to add an additional cutout.

You really dont need dual cutouts unless you want the extra sound. Just get a single qtp cutout on the intermediate pipe. Even more so because you are so low. It will be very difficult for you do make your own cutouts on the y pipe and have clearance.

i'd say with the setup you suggested, if both cutouts face the pass. side, just put a turndown on redirecting it to the other side. I have never seen a custom made cutout but i doubt its impossible, i just think you would end up with pretty much the same thing.

Its really not a "custom made cutout". Its just like the ones in summit. Im meaning at a local shope they used the y bracket cutout.

Ive never put a "purchased cutout " on my car. Ive always had a shop cut a hole in the pipe were it worked best and put a pipe off with a 3 bolt flange. I had to do it the custom way for when my car was a V6. Doing an open header cutout was kinda tricky on the exhaust and I simply couldnt fit the size of a premade cutout -as well as fit it with my McCord electric cutout. Many shops will do it- Cost for me was the same as installing a purchased cut out - $50-$60

How would the turndown extensions work with the electric cutout? I'm sure they won't like eachother.
