i am looking to buy a ls6 intake manifold found 1 for 457, i was also reading somewhere online about how theyr able to handle 425+ hp....thats not really much of a rating if you ask me but i was wondering for 850 i can get a lsx 90mm intake manifold...hows the difference between them performance-wise...ive heard them adding roughly the same amount of hp....but for the money is it that much better? i dont wanna buy an lsx if its not much better then the ls6 intake....it also says it adds on the ls6 motors too which to me would mean it actually is better, so for my ls1 should i upgrade to ls6 or just buy the lsx? money is not really an issue but quality/efficiency is...
The LS6 is a great intake for mildly/moderately modded motors. Once you go heads/cam or even cam only (with a good sized cam), you will benefit from the LSX 90mm. In your case with a Procharger, I'd definitely say to go LSX 90mm all the way. They move some serious air, and people see up to 25rwhp over the LS6 intake.

You can get the LSX manifold for better than $850. I've found it for as cheap as $815 at EAD Performance and LM Performance. Also, you will need the 90mm TB as well. I've seen it for as cheap as $445 at EAD Performance and LM Performance. Both places have the IM and TB the cheapest I've seen.
As said before, if you are running a SC or H/C...then the LSX package will only benefit you. The LS6 is nice, but not as nice as the LSX. It's just a cost effective way for people wanting a better manifold than the LS1 manifold. Overall, nothing out-performs the 90/90 combo. More or less, it's like comparing a GMMG to a Hooker. The Hooker ($275) is a nice cost effective way for people wanting a better exhaust than stock, whereas the GMMG ($700) is one of the best performing cat-backs. It's all on what your willing to spend.
i have the bbk 80mm throttle body, will that fit or should i spend more $$ for the 90mm...im just tryin to get the external airflow setup good so if i decide to up the c/h it will support
