Question cut out: electronic vs. regular. . and some other questions

02 Z28- im ordering pacesetter lt w/off road y-pipe and i wanna buy cut outs because im leaving on the stock cat back exhaust(i like it quiet , but sometimes i want it very loud). I have had one person tell me that electric cut outs dont work very well after about 6 months. send me your suggestions or cut out reviews. Also is it worth it to get two cut outs at the begining of the y-pipe or just one at the end.

I've got a McCord Power Plate 2 on a single cutout after the ypipe and it sounds awesome! I've had it on there for about 6 months and haven't had any problems with it at all, and I use it frequently. There's my recommendation.

The further back your cut-out, the more torque you will have based upon more back pressure. The more its up front, the more horsepower. I like mine right before the axle, seems to be the perfect spot for everyone, unless you want a really LOUD dual cut-out set-up

I've had my QTP cutout for about 8 months. No problems. You may run into ground clearance issues if you try to run 2 cutouts at the y-pipe. There is a perfect spot under the rear passenger side seat for the cutout.

I've got a McCord too and have had it over a year and still works fine, only problem is that it leaks a little when it cold until it warms up. I've got mine right before it goes over the axle. It's gonna be loud, i've got pacestters and ORY pipe. Not gonna sound the best though.....
