Need some suggestions on quieting down my exhast It's been a while since I've visited this section of the forum. I used to spend so much time here answering questions and what not, now I need your help.
My mods are in the sig. The ones that contribute to my exhaust volume are as follows: TSP Torquer II cam, Kooks LTs/ORY, 3500 stall converter.
I'm currently running a Hooker Cat-Back, and believe it or not, it's very loud (IMO) at idle and part throttle. I'm trying to find a good price on an SLP dual/dual, but I'm wondering if even that will be enough.
Is the SLP dual/dual considerably quieter than the Hooker Aerochamber? If not, is there anything I can do short of going back to a stock 2.5" with cutouts? Would cats quiet the car down enough?

One of the Factory Dual Dual setups would work nicely. They can be found on Ebay for nothing. Will only cost you 8-10 horse power but will sound a heck of a lot quieter. I was surprised at how loud the Hooker is.

Cats will help a good deal and the Dual/Dual (I think it's on special at SLP) will help alot and flows very well.
I went with the dual/dual (I have cats) and it sounds excellent but doesn't over power you, makes driving the car fun again.

Get another muffler and weld it into a portion of the exhaust. I know a few people that have done this and it really doesnt rob too much power, but drops it down a peg or two noise wise.
