sfi foundation SFI is a group that provides standardized safety specs for racing aftermarket companies,everything from helmets and firesuits,to clutches and rollcages, so the standards of safety protection are the same across whichever sanctioning body.... nhra and ihra both recognize SFI ratings

then theres FIA, its like SFI but to a higher standard sorta.

SFI 18.1 on the balancer is required by NHRA if you run 10.99 or better, indicates a higher standard than stock.
