Default Loudness of TD's VS open headers

I sold my catback and ORY so that I could get some TSP True Duals w/ the spiral flow mufflers. So I've been driving around all week w/ open headers and I love the sound from outside the car but its just too much inside. What I'm wondering is how loud are True duals compared to open headers? I know it wont be near as loud inside but I'm curious how it compares as far as the exterior noise level.

If you like the sound of open headers and what it quiet inside put the exhaust on and buy electric cutouts. This way you can have the best of both worlds.

TD's out the back are freaking loud, and it is not resonating under the car. You will be pleased with them. And if you have to have the extra loudness every once and a while. Do electric cut-outs in addition to the TD.

I have open headers now(cutout controlled), and have had duals. Open headers are MUCH louder than duals, probably by three times louder outside the car, and 5 times inside the car. Right now I have dual cutouts with 45 degree turndowns and it the loud as hell outside the car but not so bad inside. Not much interior vibrations at all. Plus I can just close them and go to very quiet through the flowmaster. Cutouts are just what you need.

I ran open LTs on my TA for a few days and it was ungodly loud. X-pipe and td's before the axle silenced it a bit and made it have much deeper tone. Like it that way much better. Just my 2 cents

What's with some of you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They will only be loud if you don't muffle/silence them correctly. Many CARS have them as STOCK and are QUIET.

Jaguar
BMW
Mercedes
Rolls Royce
Bentley

To name a few, STOCK Mustangs and Corvettes have DUALS and are as QUIET as a STOCK Fbody.

_______

Sorry rant over, but it really bugs me with all these STUPID comments about duals.

TD's will be alot quiter than open headers! My 2.5" duals with X and spirals sounded great, not loud at all unless you really got on it! The spirals sound really mean also!!!

Psst.. if you haven't figured out yet. We're not talking about any of those cars here

Unless you spend large $$$ most "duals" are dumped under the car = loud.

Lastly, if you can't make a point without bashing people, you may want to rethink posting here.

Hey guys my bro Tyler and I installed the duals. BADASS sound. Have to give it up to texas speed for making such a sweet setup. Nice low idle tone and when you get on it the damn thing sounds so good
