MSD coil pics

I don't understand what makes people think that a company like MSD would bother to spend all the years and money on development of a new coil set for the LS1 that is no better than the stock ones, then sell them at such a price.
I will find out for sure on Saturday if I have more power or not, and will let everyone know.

HOWEVER.
Say 1 of his stock coils were going bad, whats the price on a stock coil vs. a MSD one?
Your math is entirely spot on. These cost me almost as much as my carbon fiber driveshaft (Which I just pulled off the porch)
It came with a yoke and ujoints
I can take basic wrenches with me and make some passes with the aluminum, then change and make passes with the carbon fiber. The ujoints seem a bit stiff, though. Not sure how much driving it will take to free them up some.
Wouldn't it suck if I went slower after all this money spent?

Well, you know what they say, "I spend all my money on car parts and gas. The rest I waste!"
They sure look cool as hell. So cool, that I would go with those over fuel rail covers.

Stock Park from GMPartsDirect.com - $32.52 + Shipping = $42.47
MSD Part from Jeg's (Cheaper than Thunder) - $67.99
MSD Part From Summit - $66.88
I would like to see a back to back dyno test before dropping that kind of coin on these things... It makes sense that they would help drivability... But it would be interesting to see if it made more power or at least cleaned up the curve a little...
BTW... they do look very nice
