just ordered pacesetters plus y-pipe I finally ordered some headers and kinda nervous that i got everything!i got the headers with no air and no egr, the y-pipe (off road) and two o2 sensor extensions.and thats it so i hope i have everything that i need to install them myself.
one thing was funny though i didnt think the headers with no egr and no air fit the 1999 ls1 i thought it was just for the 2000-2002?maybe i was wrong?
any comments?

any comments?they will fit. 2001 and up came without egr so thats why thats the case. pull all that **** out (air, egr) and put them headers in.
yeah im at the same situation you are in i will be ordering my pacesetter headers at the end of this month and Y pipe, and since my car is a 98 i will be needing to delete egr and air. but im getting her tuned right after i install my headers so that will definantly give her some power lol.
Get ready for the easiest header install I think there is....Maybe as easy as factory manifolds....ok maybe not but close.
They should work fine, just remove the AIR & EGR (have the codes deleted) and get some block off plates and your good to go...
Also just remove your rear o2's and have the codes deleted for them as well.

he doesnt need block off plates, it appears he has race style headers (no AIR, no EGR) so he just has to plug the intake. the race style headers fit all years because there is no AIR and EGR.

Not trying to hijack this thread but i have a couple of questions about the pacesetters myself. I have gutted cat's as of now am i still going to have a horsepower gain when installing long tube's or is that it gutting the cats is the power gain since when i get long tubes they will be with the ORY ?So they have a new model pacesetter are these the ones that fit better and dont leak ? Do they come with 02 extensions ? DO you have to get a tune after long tube's ? any other info on installing long tube's would be great. thanks
gutting the catsisnot the power gain. It gained a little power Im sure but the power gain is each cylinder breathing through its own 1-3/4' pipe all the way to the collector. The 3" y pipe helps too.
