Default Vortex cone inserts

Anyone tried the dynatech turndowns that have the perforated cones inside? I need to buy a turndown and might try this out to lower the noise alittle bit. Any experience?

I put a set of the vortex cones in my headers. It did quiet it down some, maybe 3-5 db. It was noticable, but still pretty loud. I don't know if it cost any hp or not though. They look pretty restrictive.
