Borla adjustable plates??

I currently bought a 98 z28 that came with a borla exhuast, the guy told me it was adjustable. But he never explained how it was adjustable, he just said there were some plates to move. Are theses "plates" already on the exhuast system and just need to be altered around to adjust the sound, or did the exhuast come with different plates and you pop on off and place the other in? need your help guys, thanx!

They come with different plates you swap out on the right hand pipe near the rear. You will have to pull off the right tail pipe to see what plate is in there.
