flowmaster for a 2001 ss

my older bro had this setup on his car and i thought it sounded pretty good and all. it was also a 2001 ss with the stock exhaust expect for the flows. my ? is why does everyone hammer flowmaster so much?

I have the 80 series flowmaster it sounds great but I want the GMMG.

there are so many better alternatives they sound ok but i prefer hooker or gmmg

I'm not quite sure why people forget to mention that it still flows better than stock. There are better options if you're looking to buy, but if you already have it and your exhaust is still stock, put it on. You'll still notice an improvement. Only reason I replaced mine is because I wanted louder without a cutout.
