Yet another "WTF is this thing" thread.

As the topic says, wtf is this thing? I'm referring to the black rubber grommet looking thing here:

I don't remember removing anything from this hole...

Thats a PCV hole in the valve cover. I believe that the hose thats sitting on the flywheel in the 2nd pic goes into that hole.

Its the pcv hole, in the first pic the hose laying over the flywheel plugs into it. the other hose goes to the brake booster.
