Meziere electric water pump issues

Well, after a long while of no problems, I poped the hood to check up on things and noticed my power wire with the relay was smoking. Cut off the motor and the fuse was completely fried but not blown. I'm going to try and swap out another relay tomorrow and see if that works. Hopefully the pump isnt messed up. Has anyone else had this problem?

What size wire did you run? What size fuse are you running?

It has a 12ga wire. I replaced the fuse today and no problems... not sure what the issue was.

that should be 10ga minimum.
