yep sure does! here is how far the pulley is on now, can someone take a measurement for me, say from the timing chain cover to the back of the pulley. How much farther does it need to go?

man don't take any chances, if the bolt is coming loose at 180 ft lbs then something is messed up, last thing you want is to be going down the road and the pulley go flying off and mess up your motor or worse a pedestrian or some ****,

You know its messed up so now you gotta take the time to fix it,

Like you mentioned earlier a stroker crank would cure the problem and at least it would be an upgrade. And also fwiw looking at your pulley pic while it is close to being on when I visually look at mine it is on past the line that you have drawn.

When the pulley is fully seated on your crank, you should see about 1mm of the pulley snout (part that's marked in the pic) between the crank. So, you have a ways to go to get it fully seated. I'd look around for a heli-coil kit, although I doubt any local place would carry one. Maybe online somewhere? Good luck getting out of that bind man, I know my stomach would be in knots right about now...

Start with the tap, man. You have nothing to lose. If you tap it and then it holds torque, you have nothing to worry about.

Tap the threads and try putting the pulley in a bucket of HOT water this will expand the pulley and if you have any threads left it might work. Pretty hard to tell from here.
But i always warm the pulleys up it's easier.

if you do a search for "crank threads" you can find a couple places to get helicoils and taps in the correct size. There are quite a few people who have done this.
