spohns are solid motor mounts and you have to either have a stock k member or a tubular one with out the built in mounts.

Both sides. As stated by others, only doing one side is half assed. Don't get me wrong, installing them is like pulling your teeth out thru your ***, but it's worth every cent, swear, and drop of blood you can throw at it. If I had it all to do over, i would.

Did mine with the headers out... didnt remove anything else, took almost no time. Poly motor mounts, sfc's and decent shocks are the best non power adder mods EVER.

I just bought a set of sphoon solid mounts and a poly trans mount. Paid 184.00 shipped.
They will go in when the H/C gets put in.

I guess it depends if you have mounts made to the K member or not.

I have both sides in on my cammed car. The drivers side is the hardest to put in. I highly recommend them though. My motor shook like crazy at idle and tipped to the side quite a bit when you revved it. I did not notice it as much before but at high RPM I have missed gears less. Maybe its just practice or the tranny shiffter does not roll over to the right like it did before the mod. The car shakes more at idle but I like it. Honestly I do not notice it much anymore. The first time I got in and backed it off of the ramps I thought I had a bent push rod, or broken a spring. I am pretty picky and get worried easy, but from inside the car I could here a much more noticeable ticking. After an hour of listening to the engine with a screw driver I realized everything was OK and it was just the mounts transferring more of the XER lobe sound into the car. OH and the hole reason I did it was to stop my Y pipe from banging, but I think I got more than that out of them. I need to move the Y closer to the car now that it does not move.

Do you have solid mounts or poly?

I wonder if there's any downside, keeping in mind that not only is more energy transfered to the chasis but also to the drive train.

I might be more inclined to using a new factory replacement but if I was trying to prevent the exhaust from banging off the floor, I'd have to consider something more firm.

Smooth, quiet, and longterm reliability are things I appreciate.

I have the Prothane mounts with a BMR K-member and the whole car shakes. It is a big cam, but I have to admit it feels bad *** just sitting there idling.
