Question electric cut out

ok guys i have headers and a y-pipe on my 02 ta and was thinking of putting a electric cut out on my car and i was wondering if i should run one or two cuto outs thanks for the help trevor

One would probably be good. Just put it under the rear passenger seat.

I agree w/ LS69TA. No need for two if the ypipe is not a crankled mess... help keep a little back pressure too w/ it further back.

I say one. I know a guy with a 450+ rwhp cat that just lost about 5hp and 5 tq opening his cutouts on his duals. Really dont need dual cutouts on 3" duals but it was interesting to see it loose power.

ok thanks for the help but what size cut out should i use thier is alot of them 4in 3 and 1/2 3in 2 and 1/2

Single 3" is all you need QTEC30CP is the part number.

Yea, but it's commonly referred to as a cutout. Flowtech cutouts are what most people run, unless you buy them as a pair (the electric cutout assy. and the reg. cutout to mount it to).

Street Pro is also a good cutout. Well made. Qtec would be my next pick.

I have one Q-tech elec cut out in the I pipe and love it, Thats all I need.

ok so what do you guys think should i run dual cutouts? what should i get i wanna run ecutouts and my headers are on the way ... other than the cutouts im keepin stock exhaust.

I'd just run a single cutout if I was you. If you had a big motor and true duals, I could probably see the use for dual cutouts. A single 3" should be fine.
