Jet Hot/Hookers: The Hooker and Jet Hot Long Tubes are of the same design, jet hot took the hooker design and improved upon it a bit by moving the o2 bungs on the inside of the headers and they use a thicker tubing and have thicker flanges. Both are great long tubes and will run you 500-600 bucks.
QTP/kooks: Both Kooks and QTP are stainless steel headers, and are generally regarded as the cream of the crop. Quality is top notch and they can be polished for that bling look if you'd like. There only draw back is the price, at 700+ they are not for everyone. If you have the money or are the kind of person who wants the best then kooks or qtp is what you want. As far as kooks vs qtp get whichever one is cheaper.

Kooks and QTP are regarded as being the best since they're both stainless steel.
I understand now that you can get the regular hookers in stainless steel. Edelbrock also makes the stepped headers, and the headers with the high velovity merge collectors. Performance wise the stepped edelbrockswith HVMC's and longer primaries should technically be the "best" performing headers for the LS1 F-body out right now. I haven't seen any huge gains over kooks or QTP though to show that. Then again the Edelbrocks are only $400, BUT they aren't stainless steel, a major drawback IMO if you plan to keep your car for more than a few years.
In the end most people that want a quality header go with kooks or qtp because they're stainless and fit well 99.9% of the time.
I've seen some of the hardcore drag racers go with the Edelbrocks with the HVMC's though since they're so cheap and "should" perform the best on all out power making setups.
