What lid/MAF for 90/90 setup?

Im starting to gather the parts to switch over to a fast 90/90 setup. I have the intake/ TB/ 90mm power ring covered. what are my options for lid/maf? I currently have a TSP clear lid, stock maf, it seems kinda pointless to switch to a 90/90setup and leave the small lid/maf. what are you guys running? Its a daily driver so i dont want to go with SD, yet anyways.

TTT! Id like to know also.

Most people get a 85mm maf and 85mm lid, or you could go SD and just put a K@N on your TB...from what i hear SD is fine for Daily driving.

what MAF's are alright to use, the granitallie one is untuneable right? Are the SLP ones any better?

STANG KILLA SS 2 12-02-2005 08:09 AM

im using the TSP 85mm, and SLP MAF 85mm. if your having the car tuned the SLP is just fine, sean at fastech rocommended the SLP. said dont get the granatelli

Exscuse me if I'm stupid but what the hell is SD?

Speed Density tune, where the MAF is not used.

your mpg will be quite a bit less in SD though it will run fine, acutally better if you have a large cam

You are gonna have to explain that one man...my car, tuned full time SD, gets the same gas mileage as before.

Who does this SD tunning?

1badA3Z 12-04-2005 05:54 PM

TNMuscle 12-04-2005 05:58 PM

I did my own with HPTuners and a wideband O2 sensor that I have hooked up full time. It really isn't difficult with the software available today. HPTuners and EFI Live make great tuning products. Initial buy in isn't cheap, but once you learn it, you can have full control over how your car behaves. If you start to modify your car extensively, you'll quickly understand how limiting a MAF can be.
