Go with LS6 because porting the LS1 is not worth it.

Yes it does make a difference...depending on your future plans, you might consider saving for the FAST 90 setup.

If you can get it ported for free, go for it...I still don't think it'll match the LS6 or FAST 90. Sounds like the only thing it'll cost you initially is your time...

Save for an LS6. I don't see how you can port an LS1 enough to achieve the volume of an LS6, without hurting air velocity at the same time. If it was a worthwhile mod, you'd see ported LS1 intakes in everyone's sig lol.

Since you work at a parts store, look at the bottom of both intakes. The LS6 intake has more volume. You can see how the LS6 intake is flat on the bottom, while the LS1 is tapered, reducing volume.

I believe the ls6 has longer runners. You could get the ls1 ported but I wouldnt. Its best to just get the ls6.Then if you go bigger in the future you can always recoupe the money from the ls6.So your not out much.

Yeah, I wouldn't get the fast 90 until you have a BIG cam and heads/stroker. If you put that intake on your car as it sits, you'll be pretty bummed. It won't even make more power on your setup until after you've already hit your rev limiter, and will feel "soggy" everywhere below that. Even with mild heads and cam, the LS6 intake will outperform the fast. Wait till you're making alot of power, and spinning over 6500 rpm's before going that big.
