Was I a good Ebay shopper?
Everyonce in a while I look on ebay for good deals. Saw this with 4 minutes left and placed bid at last second. I admit, I did not really research the product but read what the guy had to say. Sounded like a good deal. Anyone know if these are good cats?

call me cheap or whatever but i really enjoy getting a good deal on things. though i always try to buy from a seller who has a pretty good record, sometimes you got to role the dice on some things but it is probabally best to show restraint when a deal seems to good to be true.
congratulations on your purchase!

never heard of pypes, but you'd think they could do a better job on the plate they put their name on. they tacked it on w/4 tack welds. and those plates don't even really fit the cat. those were my first observations.
let us know how they work out!

For $2.40 more you could have bought 2 new ones with a warranty from a dealer anytime you wanted!!
They are Pypes part# CVM13 http://www.pypesexhaust.com/mufflers.html
These look like some pretty low quality pieces to me and are priced at only $59 new including free shipping and with that you would get a warranty. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/powercat.htm
When it comes to aftermarket cats, in my opinion, if they are not high quality then the heat from an LS1 with headers will eat them alive. In fact I have fried a very good set already. Unfortunatley it took me a few thousand miles to figure out they disintegrated and were plugging up the exhaust, ultimatley making the car run like ****.
If I installed these, I'd spend alot of time reving my engine in the garage listening for pieces/rattles and everytime my car sputtered for whatever reason I would think it would be these cats. Who needs that lack of confidence in a product.
