Air conditioner recharge question While doing my H/C swap, I decided to change out my noisy A/C compressor. Does anyone know how many ounces of oil and pounds of freon it takes for a 97 Vette? Thanks.

When I changed my compressor last summer there was a cheat sheet inside the box that gave a variety of info for different applications. That, plus a large amount of research on the web gave me an answer for my Camaro.
A lot of it depends on other parts replaced (it's always good to replace your old accumulator, especially if your system has been open for any length of time), and on your particular system and compressor.
