Default Manifold problems please help

Ok i installed my new LS6 manifold today which the guy i bought it from said it was the SLP one. Well anyway where the EGR hose goes down into the manifold there is like (tube that screws down into teh manidfold but the EGR pipe wont fit down it) and even if it does there is no screw hole next to it to screw it down. I must be missing some kind of nut that bolts over this but i dunno what it is even called or where i could get it. If this is all too confusing let me know and i will try and explain it better. Basically my problem is the EGR tube wont fit inside the manifold because there is some threaded pipe there already and wont allow it to slide down in. So if anyone knows of a part or some blockoff cap i could put on please let me know. My car has just been sitting for 3days now.

Yea the egr pipe has to be modified in order to connect it to the manifold. I'm not sure if the kit from SLP included any hardware needed for the pipe. Anyways here a TTT.

Is it bad to drive around with it liek that till i figure out what im going to do. It isnt throwing any codes to my computer and my car is running perfectly fine. Do you live in an emissions state? If I were you and didn't have to pass a visual, I'd pull the egr and get rid of it. You aren't sacrficing anything in the way of performance, if anything it should help.

Just make a block off plate and put it on the exhaust manifold/header. You will probably threw an SES later down the road, but it won't hurt performance at all. We dont have emmissions here in florida so pull the system.

ok i saw the hose that goes to the manifold and it comes back underneath some metal bracket. and then there is another hose that goes from there to teh header but it looks liek the fuel injector sensors are plugged into this black cylinder looking thing where teh hose from the manifold goes so i unbolted it and the EGR hose has a lip that holds it in should i just pry it off or something and where do i put the block off plates on the header i know but the kit i saw comes with 3 so whats the other 2 for.

This link is for egr pipe replacement. Follow the removal instructions and place the block off plate on the flange on the header.....http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...eplacement.htm
P.S...the other two plates are for the AIR system
