Default Kooks Jet-Hot Coated?

I did a serach didnt find anything on it. Does anyone have kooks Jet-hot coated?

Why or why not?

I prefer the black headers over the "flashy" chrome look.

For stainless steel headers the coating is primarily for a thermal barrier, rather than for corrosion protection.
By coating the headers you cut down on the heat that radiates off them, keeping the engine bay cooler, and keeping the heat in the header and keeping the exhaust gas velocity up

Default Coating

A lot of guys do not coat stailess steel because the material is a lot smoother then mild steel it is harder for the coating to stick to the stainless. Most of the people that coat stainless headers find out the coating starts to peel off after a while. The coating would stay longer on a header that is a lesser quility because they are made out of 409 not 304 like our stuff. If you have any further ? call me at 631 586 9002 ext 308. George R.
