should this worry me?

my car had a problem with the dipstick working/poping its way up about 1/4 inch. after i push it back down it will do the same thing in a view days. i replaces the whole pcv system, pipes and all and it still does it.

does anyone else have this problem?
what could be causing it?

you sure you put back in right after you installed the LT's?

I am not sure man, scotch tape?

that is an odd problem, but this could be caused by excessive crankcase pressure. that is generally caused by excessive ring blow-by. not good man...

that is totally a guess though

blow by would lower my HP # a good bit tho wouldent it? it has done this ever since i got the car. could the pcv pipes be stoped up where they come out of the valve covers? i want to do a compression test but its going to be a pain in the ***. the car has 80k miles on it and has had frequent oil changes so i wouldent think the rings were worn bad.

the thing that makes me wonder about the blowby is it only seems to do it when if feels like it. i could drive it one day and it would be fine, and another day it will work its way out. would doing a compression test on one cylinder tell me anything?
