New Plugs and Wires in >>>> First, I picked up a set of Autolite Professional wires, 7mm, great fit and quality, let's see how they hold up.
Next, found a method for #8 that was pretty easy.
Of course remove, coil packs, and air & egr if you still have them.
Then, using plug socket on 3/8 ratchet, reaching through the opening behind the dip stick, I put the socket/ratchet on #8. I moved the ratchet slightly towards the front of the car from vertical. Then I put a box wrench on the ratchet and used it as a lever to loosen the plug. Then stuck my hand back in there (behind the dipstick) and took it the rest of the way out.
Didn't take more than 10 minutes to get out. Would have had the new one in within 2 more minutes but dropped the socket/plug into the abyss. Took longer to jack up the car and crawl under to retrieve the socket/plug than to put the remaining 7 back in.
I laid across the engine from the front of the car.
Not saying I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Why does everyone bitch about the #8 plug. just do it by feel, we don't have to see what we are doing. once u get the plug as tight by hand as you can, grab a ratchet,and make it snug, easy as that. it aint super easy, but it's not that hard either. I always trip my buddies out when I can get that plug easy as pie, not bragging, but it is not that hard, ever do this plug in the dark, from the top, with no light? this guy got it no prob it sounds like
i jack up the car, get under it and take the #8 plug out, put it back and lower the car in 2 min. i dont see why everyone tries to find ways to get it. jack up the car and dont worry about pulling **** off
