sound is subjective, but generally people don't like it.

I have the SLP Loudmouth with the QTP longtubes and catted y-pipe. I went with the cats to help keep the noise level down a little and I think it worked out pretty good. I still have drone and it's still loud, but I no longer have that pop or crackel sound like SRT4's. If I could do it all over again I might have gone with true duals or perhaps the QTP y-pipe with dual cut-outs into the stock catback.

408/stepped LT/ORY/LM

This should give you somewhat of an idea. With my setup it's pretty damn raspy. Forget about driving at 2k rpm, it gets raspy as hell. I like the sound of it at idle and above 2k but damn... it's kind of annoying around there. I didn't get any clips with a rev but I'm sure you can imagine

I have mac mids and Lm and love it. I orginally had a custom catted y-pipe made with magnaflow cats but decided to gut them and I love the sound. It is just plain mean and evil sounding, and all I ever get is compliments on it. It depends though on how loud you want your car to be. With cats it pretty much sounds the same as it does on the factory manifolds at idle and moderate speeds, but when you go WOT it gets pretty damn loud, but still sounds good. With the cats gutted it sounds like nascar at all speed levels. I love loud though and wouldnt trade my setup for anything. Hope that helps!

My car sounds like crap now that i've put LT's on it. I picked up a Hooker today. Just waiting to install it. I'm going to add a E Cutout of some sort in the I-pipe so I can have the best of both worlds.

dont let people tell you it sounds like ****. its all about what kind of sound you like. if you like the raw, loud sound then you will love it. i have LM, LT's, and no cats. I will also be putting a MS3 in this summer and i cant wait. I personally love the way it sounds and I have got nothing but compliments on the way it sounds. NO ONE has ever said anything negative about it. it does have a drone around 2000 RPM but to me, thats a small price to pay for the sound that come at all other times. It also pops a little but who cares. its a great price for something that, I think, sounds great. enjoy your set-up and all future mods.

Adding to my post earlier. Yes it sounds badass at WOT. But at part throttle it sounds like a machine gun. I would keep mine. But I drive my car everyday so it's got to go. Now on a cammed car it sounds alot better. But for stock internals it's just not for me.

I dont care what anybody says either, I have the LM II, which I havent had any feedback on how it sounds with lt's, but I can tell you this. I ordered a set of qtp's with ory and I look forward to waking up the neighbours at 6am when I leave in the morning. The only thing I am worried about is the police. " But officer, I wasnt aware that catalytic converters were required?? "

I thought the LM sounded like *** with LTs and no cats, so I welded in a DynoMax bullet. Still sounded like crap. Now I have a Borla XR1 welded in and it sounds amazing! No drone, no rattling, just pure anger through the tail-pipes...
