Unhappy Pacesetter collector has flat spot!

Got my headers in, and they have a flat spot on the collector on the passenger side header. Anyone ever have this? What could I do to round it back out? I was planning on putting them on this weekend, so I'd rather not send them back if it is something I could fix myself or that wouldn't make a difference with it sealing to my TD's. I was planning on using some band clamps from NAPA. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks,
-Marc

Without seeing it, it's hard to say but I would go through the trouble of sending it back if its that bad. JMO

I think if you take it to a muffler shop they would be able fix it if its minor but if its really messed up i would send them back....

Guess I'll take it to them and let them take a look at it. What about a pipe expander? Would that do anything?

Mine were the same way. One collector was very bent/out of round and the other header had a few dents in it. I contacted the sponsor I bought it from and was told to box it back up and a replacement would be sent. The new set I got was perfect.

Mine were a little tweaked from shipping, but i whacked it back into shape. I think i put a long *** pipe inside and kinda moved it in a circle untill it was round again.

The picture on Pace Setter's website shows a couple of flat spots on the ORY. Is this how they are made now?

I had the same problem. One header was fine, and the other was WAY out of round. I checked with a few exhaust shops, and they couldn't garauntee that they wouldn't damage the ceramic coating during the process of rounding it back out. I ended up sending the headers back to the sponsor I bought them from and got a new set.

I spoke with the sponser today, and they said they would replace them if I wanted, but I took it to Auto Zone and used their expander on it. I didn't even have to use a wrench on it, just turning it by hand was enough to get it back in shape. That's the second time Auto Zone has proven themselves to me with their tool loaner program! The first time they really saved my *** trying to get a broken axle bearing out of an axle tube.

my collectors are fine but my flanges seem to be bent. either that or the holes are punched in the flanges rather than drilled. im worried about them sealing.
