Default ls1 to ls2 intake question...

When switching from an LS1 intake to an LS2 intake do you need the same coolant recovery pipe and plugs that you do when you switch from LS1 to LS6 intake? just wondering.

Tests have shown that the LS2 intake makes little to no more HP than the LS6 intake.

To the question, yes, you'll need the coolant tube setup simular to the LS6 intake.

Why are you putting on that intake?

because I got that intake with a fast 90mm tb, direct port kit already plumbed in with the complete setup including purge system and stand alone fuel system with everything... $1,100 shipped to my front door. I've got it, it's already plumbed and it's better than my ls1 intake... why not?! either way it's an upgrade, even if it's not the best upgrade... thanks will-wax-u. That's what I needed to know.

Send your intake to lt1dave for some port work. His ported ls2 showed only a 5 rwhp loss to a ported fast 90mm intake with very similar curves.

Once the search comes back up, do a search in the Dyno section. Lots of results posted a little over a year ago.

Is this true even if your choke point (bottle neck) is your intake? If this is the case, won't the larger diameter (90mm) help?

I have an LS6 intake and was thinking of switching to the FAST 90 but I could save $500+ by using the LS2 intake.
