qtp catted y a friend of mine has a qtp catted y that hes going to be selling because hes getting a true dual set up. he will sell it to me for 150. the only thing is that he gutted the cats. is it still going to be good and how do you think it would sound with the cats gutted? are the qtp catted y's good y pipes? i know they usually go for over $500 so its definitely something i wanted to find out about.
um, if the Y no longer has cats its an ORY, cats that are hollowed out are just shells and not cats. they do/did make an ORY that fits there qtp headers or jethot/hooker/pace, but i dont see the specifications on there site anymore which i thouoght they had.
that cats are just a shell, which IMO makes it an ORY since the cats are no longer functional or a restriction. what headers does your buddy have. if he has qtp's then no the Y wont fit. if he had jethot/hooker/pace then obviously it will work because he used it.
