Coolant with new engine

Coolant with new engine Basically, im putting a new engine into my camaro, and i was wondering about how would be the best way to circulate the new coolant through the system? I wanted to flush everything out with water before i put the coolant into the engine, would just running it with the hose in there be fine, or will the tap water mix with the dexcool badly? Also Since there wont be any coolant in the block to start with do i need to purge the system, kinda like the oil system, or will it be alright? Finally, from looking at my old block, it seemed like the dex-cool was working fine, and all the water passages were extremly clean. Is this normally the case, or should i use a different coolant?

Clean the entire system using a quality cooling system flush first. Follow the directions on the container carefully. Then........drain the entire system including the engine block. I premix Dexcool 50/50 with distilled water and fill the system including the expansion tank.
Cap off the system and run the motor until it warms up and/or the thermostat opens. Add the premix to the expansion tank if needed.
