Default Intake ideas??

Ok I know you are supposed to search the site first and believe me I have tried to do so on multiple computers and the same "not available" message keeps poppin up....so my question is, i have a 2002 Ws6 and I want to install an intake, however of the posts on the site i have read everyone is so hit or miss on what to do. I have been looking at both lids and filters and i was somewhat partial to the volant however this is only becuz i have read some of you have had heating problems with doing the lid and CAI like the SSRA or the FTRA if anyone could help me clarify what im getting into that would be greatly appriciated. and once again im sorry for the repost

MTI lid + K&N = happy Me.

I feel that lids are the way to go unless your lucky enough to have somthing else suck your own air

Volant is the best looking intake IMO, still makes me grin when I pop the hood.

I like the volant... and have heard that you could always get some K&N filters cuz the volant filters are kinda small and they dont take up much of the box...also in going with just the volant could i still add an ssra or a ftra??? or are they only compatible with a lid setup

K and the other thing was that some people said that one of the sensors on the volant was placed in the open box and on the stock intake it should be inclosed there fore providing inaccurate readings on air temp is this a big problem i dont want to throw a code

Stang killa, it seems like the volant filter for the ss/z28 setup has larger surface area then the 2 smaller cones for the ws6 do you think i could get a ss filter with a ws6 setup??? or if not does k and n make a larger surface area filter then the small volant ones?
