Default Powerstick Cutout?

I've had many cutouts on my car, and have even had flanges with different size holes welded up to change the sound. Right now I have a car chemistry insert mounted backwards on my cutout flange. It did make my exhaust note throatier and less raspy. My latest idea is to weld a section of chambered muffler(powerstick/SW's, etc.) onto the end of a flange to give it a throatier sound. I'm hoping to improve the sound comming out of the cutout. Is the the most stupid thing you guys have ever heard? Let me know what you guys think....I can take it. I'm sure one of these days I'll break down and spend the $800 on a GMMG.

Wanting to improve your exhaust sound isn't stupid, but I think if you put a muffler on the end of a cut-out, you kinda ruin the purpose of a cut-out to begin with. If I could afford it right now, I'd be getting that QTP dual cut-out y-pipe. I bet that sounds pretty bad ***. Try that out. I'm sure it will sound some what close to open header.

That is the setup that I have on my car right now, but it's not the dual, it's behind the y-pipe, still sounds mean as hell though, wouldn't change it at all and well worth the money.

I might just try it. I'm not worried about ruining power through the cutout, because I already have a magnaflow catback. I figure worse case scenario, more exhaust flow would just go out the magnaflow, which flow plenty fine. I couldn't see a several inch section of chambered muffler hurting flow out of the cutout much anyways. This would be for sound purposes only.
