Yes it is possible. Did you recently install or clean a K&N filter?
I "fixed" a few LS1 cars that had a dirty MAF. It would knock/ping at WOT, cleaned MAF and the problem went away.

get a Q-tip and put some alcohol on it. The more % of alcohol the better. i use isopropyl alcohol which is 70% alcohol. gently(extremely) wipe the sensors with the very tip of the q-tip.
i have done it this way many times and have never had any problems. The higher % of alcohol makes it evaporate almost instantly

graph MAF signal vs MAF freq and you'll see how noisy the system is. then clean the maf/air filter and scan/graph again, and you'll see the difference in how spread the points are from the main trend. or if you're more mathematically inclined, do some basic stats on it and you'll see how your standard deviation is.
you have no idea how much simpler the tuning will be (if you're using maf of course) once you have a clean signal.
