Default Electric cutouts

Does anyone have electric cutouts after their headers? How has your experience with them been? worth the extra$?

I was thinking of doing this with with my new headers...

Secondly i want to get my car tuned after i put on my headers... will the pcm have trouble if i get the car tuned with the cutouts open and i drive around with them closed?

if always entertained that thought in my head. (which i think is straight bad-***.)

running dual cutouts right at the collectors for a basically open header setup at the flick of a switch, seems like a great idea. but i would only assume you would be ruining o2 sensors and have idle/surgeing problems.

but who says it cant be done!?

Default i have the QTP electric cutout

i have a 00 WS6 and i have the QTP electric cutout. i have stock headers with guted cats and it sounds awsome. i was very happy with the results and it is worth it. it is also good cuz since it makes the car very loud u can close it aroud cops, it has saved my *** once and a local hangout when the cops raided it they gave tickets to all loud cars for noise pollution and i closed it and didnt get one because of it. it pays for itself. but i also have normal flowmasters so when i close it its pretty quiet. but go for it trust me you will enjoy it when i put it on a dyno i did 298rwhp (cutout cloesed) and 305rwhp (cutout open) and i have small mods like slp lid, and k&n filter. your eshaust is more free flow so it will help you 7rwhp or so.

A single cutout in the y will produce more hp then two after the o2's.

However, the dual cutouts will be LOUD.

LOUD is definately the right word to use. I run dual electic cutouts on my car and rarely close them, only when it rains. I absolutely love it!

Well, I don't have an F-bod, but. On my LS1 Goat, I have dual Elec Cut-outs right after the x-pipe w /turn-downs, LT's, no cats.

Closed- pretty mild mannered through the MagnaFlow Muffs.

Open_ Loud as ****! I absolutely love it. I wish I had done it when I 1st had the car,

I do have an SES light (I took the cats off at the same time), but Gomer is gonna fix that in a few days.

I love mine! It is a great addition to a lopey cam. Sounds great, but I think dual cut-outs is a little overkill

My car gained one rwhp and lost four rwtq with the cut out over the Hooker cat back and made no difference at the track.

Also, after only 6 months of driving to club meetings, a few car shows, a couple of cruises and the occasional Sonic drive in runs the damn thing fell appart. It was a QTP, I was very dissapointed and will not buy another one.

Since then I have heard of several others this has happend to.

Dont get wraped up in peak numbers with these cut outs, you may be losing the power where it counts most.
