Default Will removal of egr increase oil consumption

As the title says i am not sure if removal of the egr has the possibility to increase oil consumption. I am not sure how it could since 01 and 02 dont have the egr provisions in the intake but right now my car does not consume any oil (knock on wood) and i would like to keep it that way. I want to put an LS6 intake on my car so I am just thinking of going with a non egr intake and ditching the egr. Did the factory make any egr LS6 intakes or is it an slp only thing? Thanks for any help.

Good question, hard to say. 98-99 cars do have the same issues, but not sure if it increases with the removal of EGR.

Yes, SLP makes the converted LS6 intakes. No factory ones that I've ever seen.

I dont think you have anything to worry about. I would install a catch can reguardless of what you do. Here's a guy who did a good job on his! :shameless:
