Question Air/Fuel Ratio Guage Question

Probably should have posted this in her first. Anyways....

OK quick question. I know the standard a/f guage that plugs directly into your computer only is good for reading at idle. However, would the actual guage work if I bought the Bosch sensor separately. The reason I ask is because I prefer the look of the autometer guages over the wideband o2 a/f guages that I've seen.

I know of a Narrow to wideband converter from PLX, but the catch to it is you can only use a PLX wideband controller.

I think the AEM uego wideband looks good.
