Default Egr

Do you have to remove your egr on the 98 ls1's to run a wet nitros kit. I saw a new wet plate system in the last issue of GMHTP that was a plate between the TB and the manifold. They said the car was a 98 they were working on but pictures didn't show an EGR tube. If I put it on my 98 it would be spraying fuel right where the egr sits on my intake.I posted this in the nitros section but have heard no replys.

Most likley the car had undergone an ls6 intake manifold swap and the EGR was deleted in the process. I can imagine getting rid of it would be a much better idea. Its always a good idea to scrap that POS anyway

You can remove it from your system and seal up the manifold with a 1-3/8" adjustable freeze plug from any autoparts store. Cut out a blockoff plate for the exhaust as well. I think some sponsors sell them if you dont feel like fabbing one up.

Post a link to this plate system if you can.
