cheaper than pace.from jegs. Noticeable seat ofthepants feal.No isses over speed bumps.need bump stop mod from thunder racing.driver side flange rattles or hits bottom of car.most noticeable1200rpm then gos away.need muffler.I have loudmouth or I may ad cats(have ory with headers). At 2500rpm loud as f,but only for ashort time then it tones down.sounds good at start up and at idle.overall I am very happy I just dont know what to do with the loudmouth. muffler or cats?

As a budget header option, don't overlook the Edelbrock stepped Ti-tech coated LT available at SDPC-------> along with the Y-pipe. I don't think it's listed in their ls1 section, you must look in their general exhaust listings.

I've been toying with the idea of that one, too.

What I think scared people away from the Hedmans is the advertisements... they stated 1 1/2" stepped to 1 5/8". They're actually 1 5/8" to 1 3/4". Seems like it'd be well-matched to a full bolt-on car with a mild sleeper cam, and you can't beat $230 for LTs with a lifetime warranty(I know that's not a real selling point, but Hedman does make a pretty good quality header.).

Thanks, bro!

Hey, if the car ain't under the knife yet, take it out and get a baseline 0-60 if you can... two or three runs, then take the average of them. Then when your headers are on and all, see what she does compared to the baseline. That should give a decent idea of how well they perform.

Definately!! Get a baseline if you can to see what your gains are. Would make a great new addition to exhaust sticky

got them in fit is great. took about 4 hours on a hoist, the only thing i dont like is the o2 locations they should have put them on the inside of collector other than that i am very pleased with them. the ground clearence is great y-pipe fit very well couldnt baseline cuz i had to leave it at my brothers shop overnite and i honestly didnt think about it but there is a noticeable improvement in throttle responce they are great headers and i would recomed them to anyone thinking about buying them

If you order them off jegs website they list a y-pipe that they say is for use with cats but it is an ORY. All together for the headers and ORY from jegs they only cost around 350.00 plus the oversize freight charge witch isnt alot. They come with really crappy gaskets, (the stock ones will be fine to reuse, if they fall apart taking the manifolds off just get new ones from the dealer), all the nuts and bolts you will need, emisions block off plates and gaskets, you will need to get extentions for the o2 sensors though,12in and 24in should be long enough

only thing that would be a down side is that they are 1 5/8" primarys. the pacesetters are 1 3/4" but good bang for the buck. $50 more you can have pactsetters. thats what i have so i am kinda biased. was looking into the headmans but wanted the larger primarys. they should be better for low end torque though over the largerones. just my .02
